Homestead Cabinets is hiring for several CNC Operator positions. Homestead represents a refreshing, new way of thinking and of doing business. The hours for this shift would be from 6am-7pm with a 1 hour paid lunch, 3 days a week - no Sundays.

About the Role

As a CNC Operator, you will operate several different machines, such as a beam saw, a BHX dowel machine, and a Weeke 480 machine.

You will perform various tasks, including loading and cutting boards, changing bits and cutting tools, cleaning and maintaining the machines and tools, and searching for ways to help improve the CNC operating area and process.

• Prefer some knowledge of wood types and grades
• Ability to communicate, receive, and understand complex instructions
• Adherence to good manufacturing principles
• Demonstrate eye for detail and quality-minded work habits
• Curiosity and desire to learn
• Must have some problem solving skills


• Read and follow work procedures and schematics or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
• Quality check parts
• Stack, sort, and apply stickers to parts
• Maintain a clean and organized area
• Assist in other departments when needed
• Work with team lead, engineer, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently move, lift, carry, push, or pull weight up to 50 lbs. unassisted and occasionally lift/move items greater than 50 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to continuously stand or walk for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a noisy environment
• Ability to work in a dusty environment
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Frequently use fingers or hands to grasp, clamp, move, and handle objects
