Homestead Cabinets is hiring for an experienced CNC Operator position. Homestead represents a refreshing, new way of thinking and of doing business. The normal hours for this shift would be 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday - Friday with some overtime required. Competitive wage offered depending on previous work experience.
About the Role
As a CNC Operator, you will operate several different machines, such as a beam saw, a BHX dowel machine, and a Weeke 480 machine. You will perform various tasks, including loading and cutting boards, changing bits and cutting tools, cleaning and maintaining the machines and tools, and searching for ways to help improve the CNC operating area.

Requirements
• Experience operating a CNC machine
• Knowledge of wood types and grades
• Previous wood-working strongly preferred
• Ability to communicate, receive, and understand complex instructions regarding duties to be performed
• Adherence to good manufacturing principles
• Demonstrate eye for detail and quality-minded work habits
• Curiosity and a desire to learn
• Must possess problem-solving skills
• Ability to speak and communicate in English
Responsibilities
• Read and follow work procedures and schematics or or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
• Quality check parts
• Stack, sort, and apply stickers to parts
• Maintain a clean and organized area
• Assist in other departments when needed
• Work with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency
Physical Requirements
• Ability to frequently move, lift, carry, push, or pull weight up to 50 lbs. unassisted and occasionally lift/move items greater than 50 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to continuously stand or walk for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a noisy environment
• Ability to work in a dusty environment
• Frequently use fingers or hands to grasp, clamp, move, and handle objects
• Frequently squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, turn, pivot, and react
