Homestead Cabinets is hiring for a project manager position . Homestead represents a refreshing, new way of thinking and of doing business. We work hard to produce high quality, state-of-the-art custom cabinetry. We are looking for employees who would like to become skilled craftsmen. The hours for this shift would be 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime is required.
About the Role
Homestead provides our dealers with an online ordering system which you will become proficient at manipulating to communicate with our shop. A Project Manager works closely with our Customers to ensure that their orders are accurate. Communication is key. To be a Project Manager you must be a “people person”, and be service-minded. There are a lot of details in a Homestead order and you will be expected to be thorough and exact. Depending on your experience, training can take anywhere from 3 months to a year. Homestead also uses every new and innovative hardware and technology that we can find and integrate. Knowledge of these gadgets and gizmos is of the utmost importance, and creative ideas are encouraged. You will always be learning and growing here at Homestead.

Requirements
• Excellent customer service skills
The following experience is preferred:
• Experience working with customers on commercial or residential cabinetry designs
• Experience with bidding, engineering, fabricating
• Finishing and cabinet installation experience
• Familiarity with Microvellum, AutoCAD, 20-20, Sketch up, Blum and Hafele cabinet hardware a plus
Responsibilities
Leadership:
• Build trusting, long term relationships with both Dealers and Shop Staff
• Communicate effectively with other Team members and Shop staff
Order Processing:
• Process Hotlists, Orders and requests for information Completely, Accurately, & Timely (CAT)
• Read and understand project information sheets
• Familiarity with Microvellum, AutoCAD, 20-20, Sketch up, Blum and Hafele cabinet hardware a plus
• Ensure information on shop job sheets are clear and correct
• Address any shop questions
Material Management:
• Ensure best material usage through design and programing
• Flag Special order materials during check in process
Training:
• Know the operation of Homestead’s Bid program
• Know the operation of Microvelum
• Keep up to date on all changes to Bid program and Microvelum
• Increase knowledge of vendor products and new innovative processes
Physical Requirements
