Homestead Cabinets is currently hiring for a skilled assembly specialist. Homestead represents a refreshing, new way of thinking and of doing business. We work hard to produce high quality, state-of-the-art custom cabinetry. We are looking for employees who would like to become skilled craftsmen. The hours for this shift would normally be from 6:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday through Friday but some overtime is required. Starting pay is $17.00 depending on previous work experience.
About the Role
As an assembly technician, you'll perform various tasks, including assembly, manufacturing, basic testing of products, and searching for ways to help improve the assembly area.

Requirements
Ability to visualize final product from schematics and drawings
Experienced in assembly of wood or similar products
Mechanical ability and experience with cad and other designer software
Ability to communicate, receive, and understand complex instructions regarding duties to be performed
Adherence to good manufacturing principles
Demonstrate eye for detail and quality-minded work habits
Curiosity and a desire to learn
Responsibilities
Read and follow work procedures and schematics or or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
Perform manufacturing/assembly operations and various tasks following Homestead procedures, work instructions, and process aid sheets
Analyze schematics and compare to actual assembled product to ensure customer is receiving what they ordered
Maintain daily production output
Participate in quality control inspections
Inspect in-process & finished product
Assist in other departments when needed
Work with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently move, lift, carry, push, or pull weight up to 50 lbs. unassisted and occasionally lift/move items greater than 50 lbs. with assistance
Ability to continuously stand or walk for long periods of time
Ability to work in a noisy environment
Ability to work in a dusty environment
Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Frequently use fingers or hands to grasp, clamp, move, and handle objects
Frequently squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, turn, pivot, and reach
