Mountain Modern | Creative Cabinetry
Homestead Dealer Project Gallery
This Mountain Modern residence pushes the boundaries of contemporary design by skillfully layering organic textures with high-contrast architectural elements. The kitchen serves as a masterclass in modern materiality. It features lower cabinets in a warm, textured rift-cut oak that brings a natural touch indoors. In addition, sleek matte charcoal uppers extend to the ceiling, providing a dramatic and sophisticated look. The room’s focal point is a massive waterfall island topped with a deep navy-blue solid surface. Furthermore, a custom black range hood anchors the cooking area alongside professional-grade appliances. Exposed timber ceiling beams introduce warmth and span the entire space. Notably, integrated toe-kick LED strips create a weightless, floating effect for the cabinetry. These lights make the heavy wood-and-stone structures feel incredibly light and airy.
The home’s secondary spaces continue this sophisticated design language while introducing unique, room-specific character. Specifically, the wet bar area makes a bold statement with a graphic, monochrome geometric tile backsplash. Custom black industrial shelving units frame a dedicated beverage center and beautifully display fine glassware. Similarly, the designer repeated textured oak to maintain design continuity in the various bathrooms. This wood appears in both a minimalist floating double vanity and a more rustic, open-shelf guest vanity. These custom pieces sit against a backdrop of deep sage-green vertical tiling for a serene effect. As a result, each room feels deeply connected yet distinct within the overarching Mountain Modern theme. The team handled the transition between wood, metal, and stone with extreme care to ensure the atmosphere remains upscale.
The builders showed incredible attention to detail in the transition between the home’s levels and its functional zones. For instance, they used the cabinetry wood to create an architectural wood-paneled wall. This feature wall integrates seamlessly with the staircase and is hidden by the under-stair storage. Moreover, sculptural brass-and-globe chandeliers and matte-black hardware lend a curated sense of luxury to every corner. Every element balances the home’s grand proportions with an intimate, modern feel. This project demonstrates how a limited palette of high-quality materials can create a cohesive living environment. In conclusion, this Mountain Modern home offers a tactile and visual experience that remains both grand and comfortable. It stands as a perfect example of how luxury and nature can exist in total harmony.
