Homestead is a high-end custom cabinet shop that is built to order. Homestead provides our dealers with a custom online ordering system that you will become proficient at manipulating to communicate with our shop. A Junior Project Manager works closely with our customers to ensure that their orders are accurate. Communication is key. To be a Junior Project Manager you must be a “people person”, and be service-minded. There are a lot of details in a Homestead order and you will be expected to be thorough and exact. Depending on your experience, training can take anywhere from 3 months to a year. Homestead also uses every new and innovative hardware and technology that we can find and integrate. Knowledge or the ability to learn this hardware or technology is of the utmost importance, and creative ideas are encouraged. You will always be learning and growing here at Homestead.

Requirements
Exceptional customer service skills.

Demonstrate respect for all individuals.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in customer interactions regarding commercial or residential cabinetry designs.
Familiarity with bidding, engineering, and fabrication processes.
Previous experience in finishing and cabinet installation.
Knowledge of Microvellum, AutoCAD, 20-20, SketchUp, Blum, and Hafele cabinet hardware is advantageous.
Ability to interpret 2D views and understand them in a 3D context.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Take orders that are submitted from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Collaborate effectively within a close team environment.
Identify and resolve construction issues, contributing innovative solutions.
Utilize various communication channels to liaise with customers and shop staff for optimal project success.
Leadership:
Establish and nurture trusting, long-term relationships with dealerships and shop staff.
Communicate efficiently with team members, dealership network and the shop staff.
Process orders, hotlists, and information requests comprehensively, accurately, and promptly.
Read and comprehend project information sheets thoroughly.
Familiarity with Microvellum, AutoCAD, 20-20, Blum, and Hafele cabinet hardware is advantageous.
Ensure clarity and correctness of information on shop job sheets.
Address any inquiries from the shop.
Material Management:
Optimize material usage through effective design and programming.
Identify special order materials during the check-in process.
Training:
Proficient in operating Homestead’s Bid program and Microvellum.
Stay updated on all Bid programs and Microvellum (AutoCAD) changes.
Enhance knowledge of vendor products and innovative processes.
